Inverness to Aberdeen (I2A)-Invernet II We have now developed three timetable options:
A. Invernet II (Iinverness-Elgin additional services) with single platform at Inverness Airport (Dalcross);
B. InvernetII plus two platform station and loop at Dalcross;
C. the same plus Forres realignment. B and C are compatible with Edindburgh-Fife-Aberdeen proposals
Highland Main Line Upgrade(HMLUG)
Following Room for Growth's inclusion in the RUS, a major engineering study is proposed.
North Highland Lines Recast
A timetable hads been produced, requiring 3 traincrew but no
additional unit. The draft Economic Appraisal is being reviewed. Conon Bridge reopening is included in this work.
West Highland Lines Recast Rolling stock options are under evaluation.
